Sewer Department The Big Bear City Community Services District Sewer Department has everything you need to know about your system and how it works for you.  We are the department no one wants to think about, but everyone needs to stay sanitary, healthy and safe.  Solid Waste Department The Big Bear City Community Services District Solid Waste Department has a goal to provide our customers with the most cost-effective refuse handling service. This goal is accomplished through work plans that focus on collection, disposal, recycling activities and on researching innovative collection methods that enhance our level of service to the community.  Human Resources The Human Resources department, of the Big Bear City Community Services District, takes pride in our organization, our employees, and our community.  Our goal is to deliver the best and most cost effective services to the citizens of the Big Bear City Community Services District.  Big Bear City Fire Big Bear City Fire Department operates two staffed fire stations providing emergency responses including but not limited to, structural and Wildland fires, medical aids, rescues, and traffic collisions. We cover an area of 21.13 square miles. Additionally, the Department is responsible for all Advanced Life Support ambulance transport services to an operating area of 256 square mile, resulting in over 3,000 emergency responses annually.
